Speaking time assumes about 130 WPM aloud: a comfortable presentation pace. Nervous or energetic delivery changes reality; use the estimate as a rehearsal guide, then validate with the speaking speed test.

Tips for accurate counts

• Paste plain text when possible; heavy HTML from the web may inflate character counts
• Decide what counts as a word for your context: the tool uses standard splitting; hyphenated compounds count as one token
